Hamza And Family

Hamza is 5 years old and has just started kindergarten. He is a very curious and energetic boy. Having a lot of energy, Hamza is constantly getting into trouble. He loves to ask questions and learn more about Islam. He loves to be the center of attention and has a wild imagination. He looks up to his big brother Ali and is very close to his older sister, Aisha. Each day is an adventurous day for Hamza and he is always learning something new.

Papa is an engineer and works for the city at the water treatment facility. Papa is a very devoted husband and father and is also very active at the local mosque. He loves to spend time with the family and play with the children. Papa is an easy going dad and leaves all the disciplining of the kids to Mama.

Mama is constantly making sure that Hamza stays out of trouble each day. She loves to cook and spend time teaching her children more about Islam. She is a very patient person and is known for her generosity. Mama is constantly making sure the kids are doing their homework. She also volunteers part-time at the local library.

Ali is Hamza’s older brother and is 13 years old. Ali is in grade eight and likes to play video games and sports. He is very independent and doesn’t like when Hamza is always following him around, especially while his friends are visiting. Ali is always trying to keep Hamza out of his room and from getting into his things. However, he loves his little brother very much and protects him.

Aisha is Hamza’s older sister and is 11 years old. Aisha is in grade six, and loves to go to school. She is a very bright student and is always getting good marks. She likes to collect stamps and is an avid book reader. She is also very close to Mama and helps her a lot around the house with the daily chores.

Cerita Bahasa Inggris "Nabi Nuh"

After many years Adam had grandchildren and even great grandchildren. There were now lots of people on earth. Many of them obeyed Allah but some were not so good and did just what they wanted to do all the time. 

This made Allah very unhappy. Allah chose Nuh, a good man, to tell the people that what they were doing was wrong. But they wouldn't listen to him and carried on doing bad things. Allah decided that all the naughty people should be punished. He told Nuh to build a big ark near his house.

 

Nuh quickly got busy choosing good wood and building it up into a fine ark. A lot of people laughed at him but he did not take any notice of them, because Allah had told him what to do.

 

When he had finished, he put lots of food into the ark and collected the good people together.
They also took lots of animals with them into the ark, two of every kind.

One day, all of a sudden, the sky went very dark and it started to rain. Lightly at first, then more and more heavily. Soon there was water everywhere. The bad people were not laughing any more. They were frightened because they had no shelter from the water.

Only the good people in the ark were safe and dry. 

Cerita Bahasa Inggris "Qabil & Habil"

Adam had two sons called Habil and Qabil. Adam thought that Habil, the younger son, should take over after him.  But Qabil didn't like this idea and was very jealous. To settle the argument Adam thought of an idea. He told his sons to think of a present to give to Allah and to leave it on top of a certain hill.
 

The one whose present Allah accepted, would win the argument. Allah chose Habil's present because Habil had taken a lot of time and trouble to choose his present.

Qabil was very upset and angry. He was so angry that he killed his own brother. Afterwards, when he realised what he had done, he cried and cried but it was too late to be sorry.

Cerita Bahasa Inggris "Nabi Adam"

Allah made the mountains and the seas. He made all the animals. He made the heavens and the stars.

 

He made the sun and the moon and he made the angels. The angels were like Allah's servants and did everything He ordered.

 

Then Allah decided to make a man. He called this first man Adam. He taught him many things so that Adam had more knowledge than the angels.

 

There was one Jinn, called Iblis and he thought he was better than Adam so Allah would not let him stay with the other angels. He was to be called 'Shaytan', the Devil.

Shaytan blamed Adam for what had happened to him and was very angry. Allah let Adam live in a beautiful place because he was good. The place was called Paradise.

 

It was a very nice place but Adam was a little lonely, on his own all of the time.   Allah decided to help Adam. He made Hawa to be Adam's wife. They were happy and liked living in Paradise.

 

There was, however, one thing they were not allowed to do. There was a special tree and Allah had told them they must not eat any fruit from that tree.

 

At first Adam and Hawa were very good and kept away from the tree.   Shaytan decided to do something very naughty. He told them they were silly to keep away from the tree. He said nothing would happen if they ate its fruit. He said the fruit was delicious and they should try it.

After a while they began to listen to Shaytan and thought they would have just a little taste of the fruit, just to see what it was like. Shaytan was very happy because he had made them disobey Allah. As soon as they had eaten the fruit, Adam and Hawa realised that they had been very naughty and they felt guilty for what they had done.

Allah forgave them But He wouldn't let them stay in Paradise any more So He sent them to live on earth.

TIPU MUSLIHAT DIBALAS TIPU MUSLIHAT

Ada seorang Yogis (Ahli Yoga) mengajak seorang Pendeta bersekongkol akan memperdaya Iman Abu Nawas. Setelah mereka mencapai kata sepakat, mereka berangkat menemui Abu Nawas di kediamannya. Ketika mereka datang Abu Nawas sedang melakukan sholat Dhuha.

Setelah dipersilahkan masuk oleh istri Abu Nawas mereka masuk dan menunggu sambil berbincang-bincang santai. Seusai sholat Abu Nawas menyambut mereka. Abu Nawas dan para tamunya bercakap-cakap sejenak.

"Kami sebenarnya ingin mengajak engkau melakukan pengembaraan suci. Kalau engkau tidak keberatan bergabunglah bersama kami." kata Ahli Yoga.
"Dengan senang hati lalu kapan rencananya?" tanya Abu Nawas polos.
"Besok pagi." kata Pendeta.
"Baiklah kalau begitu kita bertemu di warung teh besok." kata Abu Nawas menyanggupi. Hari berikutnya mereka berangkat bersama. Abu Nawas mengenakan jubah seorang Sufi. Ahli Yoga dan Pendeta memakai seragam keagamaan mereka masing-masing.

Di tengah jalan mereka mulai diserang rasa lapar karena mereka memang sengaja tidak membawa bekal,
"Hai Abu Nawas, bagaimana kalau engkau saja yang mengumpulkan derma guna membeli makanan untuk kita bertiga. Karena kami akan mengadakan kebaktian." kata Pendeta.

Tanpa banyak bicara Abu Nawas berangkat mencari dan mengurnpulkan derma dari dusun satu ke dusun lain. Setelah derma terkumpul, Abu Nawas membeli makanan yang cukup untuk tiga orang. Abu Nawas kembali ke Pendeta dan Ahli Yoga dengan membawa makanan.

Karena sudah tak sanggup menahan rasa lapar Abu Nawas berkata, "Mari segera kita bagi makanan ini sekarang juga."
"Jangan sekarang. Kami sedang berpuasa." kata Ahli Yoga.
"Tetapi aku hanya menginginkan bagianku saja sedangkan bagian kalian terserah pada kalian." kata Abu Nawas menawarkan jalan keluar.
"Akan tidak setuju. Kita harus seiring seirama dalam berbuat apa pun." kata Pendeta.
"Betul aku pun tidak setuju karena waktu makanku besok pagi. Besok pagi aku baru akan berbuka." kata Ahli Yoga. Bukankah aku yang engkau jadikan niat pencari derma Dan derma itu telah ku tukar dengan makanan ini. Sekarang kalian tidak mengizinkan aku mengambil bagian sendiri. Itu tidak masuk akal." kata Abu Nawas mulai merasa jengkel.

Namun begitu Pendeta dan Ahli Yoga tetap bersikeras tidak mengizinkan Abu Nawas mengambil bagian yang menjadi haknya. Abu Nawas penasaran. Ia mencoba sekali lagi meyakinkan kawan-kawannya agar mengijinkan ia memakan bagianya. Tetapi mereka tetap saja menolak. Abu Nawas benar- benar merasa jengkel dan marah. Namun Abu Nawas tidak memperlihatkan sedikit pun kejengkelan dan kemarahannya.

"Bagaimana kalau kita mengadakan perjanjian." kata Pendeta kepada Abu Nawas.
"Perjanjian apa?" tanya Abu Nawas.
"Kita adakan lomba. Barangsiapa di antara kita bermimpi paling indah maka ia akan mendapat bagian yang terbanyak yang kedua lebih sedikit dan yang terburuk akan mendapat paling sedikit." Pendeta itu menjelaskan.

Abu Nawas setuju. Ia tidak memberi komentar apa-apa. Malam semakin larut. Embun mulai turun ke bumi. Pendeta dan Ahli Yoga mengantuk dan tidur. Abu Nawas tidak bisa tidur. Ia hanya berpura-pura tidur. Setelah merasa yakin kawan-kawannya sudah terlelap Abu Nawas menghampiri makanan itu. Tanpa berpikir dua kali Abu Nawas memakan habis makanan itu hingga tidak tersisa sedikit pun. Setelah merasa kekenyangan Abu Nawas baru bisa tidur.

Keesokan hari mereka bangun hampir bersamaan. Ahli Yoga dengan wajah berseri-seri bercerita, "Tadi malam aku bermimpi memasuki sebuah taman yang mirip sekali dengan Nirwana. Aku merasakan kenikmatan yang belum pernah kurasakan sebelumnya dalam hidup ini."

Pendeta mengatakan bahwa mimpi Ahli Yoga benar-benar menakjubkan. Betul-betul luar biasa. Kemudian giliran Pendeta menceritakan mimpinya. "Aku seolah-olah menembus ruang dan waktu. Dan ternyata memang benar. Aku secara tidak sengaja berhasil menyusup ke masa silam dimana pendiri agamaku hidup. Aku bertemu dengan beliau dan yang lebih membahagiakan adalah aku diberkatinya."

Ahli Yoga juga memuji-muji kehebatan mimpi Pendeta Abu Nawas hanya diam. Ia bahkan tidak merasa tertarik sedikitpun. Karena Abu Nawas belum juga buka mulut, Pendeta dan Ahli Yoga mulai tidak sabar untuk tidak menanyakan mimpi Abu Nawas.

"Kalian tentu tahu Nabi Khidir. Beliau adalah seorang mahaguru para sufi. Tadi malam aku bermimpi berbincang-bincang dengan beliau. Beliau menanyakan apakah aku berpuasa atau tidak. Aku katakan aku berpuasa karena aku memang tidak makan sejak dini hari Kemudian beliau menyuruhku segera berbuka karena hari sudah malam. Tentu saja aku tidak berani mengabaikan perintah beliau. Aku segera bangun dari tidur dan langsung menghabiskan makanan itu." kata Abu Nawas tanpa perasaan bersalah secuil pun.

Sambil menahan rasa lapar yang menyayat-nyayat Pendeta dan Ahli Yoga saling berpandangan satu sama lain. Kejengkelan Abu Nawas terobati. Kini mereka sadar bahwa tidak ada gunanya coba-coba mempermainkan Abu Nawas, pasti hanya akan mendapatkan celaka sendiri.
